First ventures into Printmaking

I have recently been busy piecing together a new portfolio and I came across some photos from my first ever project of my degree. The project was called 'picture if you will' and I did this project back in 2010, my first semester was spent in the printroom learning how to screen print, monoprint and how to collograph.

We were given a list of items to collect and from these objects we had to piece them together to create an overall image (basically learning how to image make).

on the images below you should see some faint printed images under the block of blue (lego) this was some packaging that I printed along with the glove using the process of collograph.

this was my first attempt at using the press and blending colours directly on the screen.

It's amazing to look back at these images and see how far I have over the past 4 years as a printmaker.
