Coloured Stencils

In my last post I had a go at creating some stencil artwork using my profile picture. Today I had a go at creating some coloured versions

So in the previous post you saw some examples of face stencils that I had found while doing some research, in this post I have decided to have a go at doing my own version of a stencil using the photograph to the right of this post.

I started off by changing the image to grey scale in photoshop:

From there I then took the photo into Illustrator and used the live trace option and selected 3 options from the live trace menu:

Whilst doing some research for my new project i came across several images of faces that have been turned in to stencils, I really like the idea of using this kind f technique for the project as it only highlights key features of the persons identity, and they are eye catching :)
